Vascular Access Centers was founded in 2005 by James F. McGuckin, M.D. an Interventional Radiologist with a vision of providing enhanced patient care through clinical excellence and unparalleled service.
Vascular Access Centers partners with Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Cardiologists, and Interventional Radiologists to develop and manage vascular practices. The partnerships are structured based on the needs of individual physicians and specific opportunities in the markets they serve.
Site Selection and Buildout
- VAC's development team secures appropriate location and facilitates and manages the build out from bricks and mortar to project completion, with consideration for all levels of regulatory compliance VAC's in-house facilities and construction managers, each with 40+ years of experience in project management and medical construction, bring concept to functional lab expediently and efficiently.
Operations

VAC manages operations, staffing, training, and education, as well as provides infrastructure with policies and procedures. VAC leadership provides the structure to govern the procedure and staff in order to comply with federal and state regulations.
Educational Programs
- A structured educational offering is developed for each location. Educational outreach may be offered directly to the physician community via in-office and clinic in-services, including accredited CE programs. Patient and community educational outreach is part of the VAC program as well. VAC supports a strong foundation of communication, collaboration, and education.
