Kimberly J. Parkinson
Chief Operating Officer
Kim brings more than 20 years of health care administration and nursing leadership experience to Vascular Access Centers and Dialysis Access Centers. She most recently held the position of Director of Patient Care Services for American Access Care in Philadelphia, PA. During this time she managed the opening of two centers in Philadelphia and another in New Jersey. Her responsibilities included the development and maintaining the operational budgets for all three facilities as well as the management of patient care delivery for seven centers. Prior to joining American Access Ms. Parkinson served in various positions of increasing responsibility in emergency services, radiology and cardiovascular surgery at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. She also served as Nurse Manager of the Radiology Department at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Kim maintains licensure in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington DC, and Washington State. She is a member of American Organization of Nurse Executives, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Radiological Nurses Association.
Kim earned a Masters of Nursing and Health Care Administration from the University of
Pennsylvania with a Minor in Business from The Wharton School and her BSN from Richard Stockton State College.
Mark Tucci
Chief Financial Officer
Mark joined Vascular Access Centers in January 2006 bringing considerable knowledge of public company financial operations to the organization as it grows its business. Prior to joining VAC Mark was Vice President, Finance/Controller for Loral CyberStar, a global managed network services provider. His responsibilities included accounting, treasury, cost control and tax planning. Previously, Mark was on the finance team at Orion Network Systems in Rockville, Maryland, coming to this international satellite services company from General Electric. Joining Orion prior to the start of commercial operations, Mark was the financial analysis team leader during the initial IPO and the ultimate raising of over $850 million to fund the construction of the Company’s global satellite system. He also played a role in Orion’s $1.5 billion purchase by Loral Space and Communications.
Mark received an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Barbara J. Friel
Chief Development Officer
Barb brings more than 15 years of business development and management experience to Vascular Access Centers and Dialysis Access Centers. Barb has a solid, proven professional background in corporate development, strategic planning, corporate marketing, public, media and community relations, as well as expertise in direct sales campaigns. She served in the hospitality industry as an executive in business development, sales and marketing. Ms.Friel fine tuned her professional skills in conceptualizing and managing effective business development strategies, affiliations and alliances. She brings her vision for progressive growth, customer service and performance excellence to the executive management team.
Robert J. Kraus
Vice President, Marketing & Sales
Bob has over 20 years experience in the renal and medical device market place. He most recently held the position of Director of Sales and National Accounts for Aksys, Ltd. His responsibilities included the management of sales, clinical and the marketing of the Personal HemoDialysis system (PHD) to the national dialysis providers. Prior to Aksys, he was Director of Sales and National Accounts for Vasca Inc., who developed an innovative dialysis access technology. Prior to Vasca, he served in various positions of increasing responsibility in sales, business development including Director of Corporate Accounts at Fresenius Medical Care- North America, during their rapid expansion period he was responsible for the growth of the dialysis products business in the top national dialysis providers. Prior to FMC-NA he spent 8 years at Baxter Healthcare in the Renal Division.
Bob received his BA from Villanova University.
Patrick Glickman
Director of Patient Care Services
Patrick has over 20 years of nursing experience and had practiced in the fields of Open Heart Surgery, Trauma, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy and Interventional Radiology. He started his nursing career in the field of radiology at The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, PA in 1992 and moved to Temple University Hospital as Assistant Nurse Manager in 1999. He was promoted to Manager of Radiology and Bronchoscopy, working along side Dr. James McGuckin in 2001, when he became involved with the American Radiological Nurses Association (ARNA). He was appointed President of the Philadelphia Chapter and began to lecture at ARNA meetings both locally and nationally. He was elected to the ARNA Board of Directors the same year he accepted the Nurse Manager position at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Radiology. He was elected President-Elect of ARNA in 2004 and will become President of ARNA in June of 2006. Patrick joined the Vascular Access Centers team in January of this year.
Patrick received his Diploma in Nursing from the Abington Memorial Hospital’s School of Nursing and received his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from LaSalle University
